Palphot History
Palphot was founded 74 years ago by Tova and Yehuda Dorfzaun, parents of the present owners, who came to Palestine from Germany with the dream of starting a business in the Jewish homeland. Palphot (Palestine Photo) began with postcards, which the Dorfzauns themselves photographed, produced and marketed. After the 1967 war, with the influx of tourists from all over the world, sales rose dramatically leading to the production of other items for the tourist market including souvenirs and books. Gradually, the local market, too, was developed and Palphot became Israel’s leading publishers of greeting cards, calendars and gift products.
Today Palphot employs around 150 people. It has a state-of-the-art printing plant of over 5000 sq. m., and a warehouse and logistic facility of over 4000 sq. m. This enables the Company to develop, produce, market, sell and distribute its many lines of products to customers the world over in the ongoing, evolving market of today.
